We All Bring Something Valuable To The Table

I’ve never considered myself an activist.

I love and respect those who are. But what I think I bring to the table is one-on-one conversations, listening to what the other person thinks, their wants and fears, and being able to draw out whatever it is that they can and should bring to the table.

I’ve considered myself a support person. Someone who can help others find whatever they have that the world needs, and to encourage them to share it.

The world needs the best in all of us.

Some will use their charisma to lead activists. Some will use their talents to organize.

Some will effectively communicate between the two sides. Some will be truth seekers. Some will be caretakers. Some will support those on the front lines.

We need all of it, as long as it’s authentic. All of us play important roles that are equally important.
