Movement is Medicine.

When was the last time you moved your body like a kid? As we get older, the body gets used to the movements we give it – hovering over a computer, sitting on the couch – and lets go of the movements we don’t give it – arms overhead, twists, joint rotations. So we get tight and further avoid those movements. Then we blame it on age.

Unstuck Coaching

Moving forward can be hard if you're stuck. But once you're unstuck, things become clear and you're on your way again. Sometimes you need to talk it out, sometimes you need to be held accountable for what you say you're going to do.

In 1999, I started kickboxing and eventually tried some jiu jitsu classes. After sticking with it even as difficult as it is, I learned that I loved the challenge both physically and mentally. When someone pushes into you, they expect you to resist. But if you go where they want you to go, they don’t expect it and fall off balance. What a beautiful idea!
